Simon joined Vollman Brothers as a Senior Advisor in 2008. He is one of the founding members of Expedia, Inc. Simon ran the US business from 1997 until 2000, during which time it became the market leader. In 1999 he was part of the core team that spun out Expedia from Microsoft, taking the company public in the US. Simon returned to the UK in 2000 to create and run the European business, which became the market leader. In 2006 he resigned and was appointed to the Board as a non-executive director. Prior to this he spent ten years at British Airways, holding a variety of senior sales positions (1987 to 1997). Simon graduated from Portsmouth Polytechnic with an honours degree in politics and holds an MBA from Lancaster University.
